We all hear a siren call at least once, if not hopefully many times in our lives: the deep yearning to go somewhere, to do something, to be something. You could say that answering that call, however messily—it’s never a clean, straight path, this life, it is forever besieged by the mundane and the terrifying—but following that sweet sound that calls the young sailors is the whole point of this existence. It's the whole deal. We've heard it too many times to ignore it, and we have nothing to hide, the lovers, the dreamers and all of us.

Kermit the Frog, “Rainbow Connection,” written by Paul Williams and Kenneth Ascher, 1979.
