Trained in literature and entrepreneurship, Rainey is the founder of Glasstire, the online magazine of visual art in Texas and the oldest online-only art magazine in the country. ​In 2019, she stepped down as publisher after over 18 years at the helm.

The MFAH 100 Book is Here
Last year I wrote 100 words about 100 works from the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
The project was a love letter to my childhood museum.
Now the museum has published The MFAH 100 as a handsome book.
